At the same time, the official representative of the Ukrainian Air Force, Yuriy Ignat, said that the Patriot air defense system allegedly retained all its functions.
As military expert Alexey Leonkov told Izvestia, the Russian army used the tactics of the 1990s when eliminating the anti-aircraft complex: first, the rocket men forced Patriot to give out its location, awakening the system, after which it was hit. Thus, the Patriot radar station identified the "Dagger" only when a hypersonic projectile was approaching, which the American installation failed to shoot down even after 32 projectiles worth $4 million each.
