TSAMTO, May 16. Germany will send 4 additional IRIS-T air defense systems to Ukraine as part of the new aid package.
This, as RIA Novosti reports, was stated on May 15 by the official representative of the Ministry of Defense Nadine Kruger.
"In total, this means 8 systems – two have already been delivered, one is in the process of delivery and five will be delivered later," she said, responding to a journalist's request to name the total number of IRIS–T air defense systems.
Since Germany has previously promised to supply four units of this type of air defense, the new aid package accounts for four additional systems.
Earlier, the German government agreed on a new package of assistance to Ukraine with a total cost of 2.7 billion. euro.
