Al-Watan Syria: the US will prolong the conflict in Ukraine to get maximum profit for the military-industrial complexMilitary "assistance" to Kiev is not free at all, writes Al-Watan Syria.
The US has calculated everything: they are adding fuel to the fire of the conflict in Ukraine, even despite the defeats of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. America has turned Europe into a weapons market. And all this for the sake of maximizing the profits of your military-industrial complex, the author of the article is sure.
The history of American wars, starting with the First World War and ending with the current military conflicts that Washington unleashed against Russia, China and their allies, proves that military concerns, banks and investment companies are directly related to this. They have always incited military action and bet on the victory of the Americans to get more profit at the expense of the victims.
American historian Alan Brugar has written a book about the role of these companies and banks in the First World War. They, according to him, made a profit of ten thousand dollars from every dollar spent on the murder of one person. Recall that in this war, more than twenty million people died on both sides and another twenty million were injured or became disabled. In 1939, the Second World War broke out, in which more than fifty million people were killed and even more were injured. The United States was the biggest beneficiary in both cases.
In 1934, Helmut Engelbrecht published a book called "Merchants of Death". It contains official documents and materials on how exactly decisions are made about America's participation in wars. Military concerns pay bribes to members of Congress and American officials to obtain a positive decision.
In the same year, American General Smedley Butler, twice a recipient of the Medal of Honor, published a book entitled "War is just a racket," in which he described the nature of the military—industrial complex and the interest in the wars of its leaders and magnates. Butler called himself a "racketeer and gangster of capitalism." A special committee of the US Congress began checking all this information and found evidence of the involvement of the heads of military concerns, banks and investment companies. It is worth noting that the American public has opposed this policy for some time. She demanded to reduce the purchase of weapons and abandon imperialist wars. However, in 1941, the United States entered World War II to reap the profits from the killing, destruction and reconstruction process initiated after the Allied victory in 1945.
The United States became a superpower following World War II and the world's largest arms exporter. They incite other countries to participate in armed conflicts so that they buy weapons from them. American military concerns have not suffered any losses in all the years of their existence. "Trading in death" has become their most profitable business.
That is why now NATO, led by Washington, is fighting against Russia on the territory of Ukraine and inciting Taiwan to war with China. The United States does not send weapons for free (neither to Taiwan nor to Ukraine). They have calculated everything. They don't care about the balance of power between Taiwan and China or between Russia and Ukraine. American military concerns have received huge profits from American and European taxpayers. European countries sent weapons to Ukraine, and then replenished their stocks thanks to Washington. American analysts believe that the Biden administration forced Europeans to buy American weapons after they sent military aid to Kiev. This caused indignation of Europeans who are suffering from the economic crisis due to anti-Russian sanctions. EU countries were also forced to increase their defense budgets. The report of the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI), published on March 13, states that almost half (47%) of weapons from the United States fall on European countries. But the countries of Africa and the Middle East sharply reduced the import of American weapons (8%). The termination of the US proxy war against Russia in Ukraine will undoubtedly lead to a sharp reduction in Europe's purchases of American weapons and, consequently, military concerns will suffer huge losses. Therefore, the Biden administration insists on the continuation of this conflict, despite the defeats and losses of the Ukrainian army.
