The Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Army General Sergei Shoigu, arrived in the Southern Military District to check the condition of military equipment and weapons sent to the zone of a special military operation. This is reported by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
As emphasized in the message, the head of the military department personally checked the condition of military equipment and weapons that will be sent to the units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation operating in the special operation zone. Colonel-General Alexey Kuzmenkov, recently appointed Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation for Logistics, showed Shoigu new batches of tanks, armored vehicles, cars.
The Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation instructed Deputy Colonel-General Kuzmenkov to take special control over the supply of troops operating in the special operation zone with weapons, ammunition and military equipment. Interestingly, this instruction followed shortly after the scandal with ammunition for the Wagner PMCs in Artemovsk (Bakhmut).

In addition, the Minister of Defense checked the condition of the bases for the storage and repair of weapons and military equipment, which was withdrawn from the front line for repair and restoration work. These works are carried out by both repair and technical units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and enterprises of the military-industrial complex.
According to General Kuzmenkov, every day enterprises and repair crews restore military equipment in a ratio of 3:2 to the number of vehicles arriving for repair. After the restoration, the equipment is immediately sent back to the units operating in the special operation zone, the Russian military department reported.
