This is stated in the company's message published on Friday, April 28, on its website.
The company clarified that we are talking about CAMM (Common Anti-air Modular Missile) anti-aircraft missiles and Launcher launchers.
"In total, MBDA will provide missiles and launchers worth £1.9 billion to support the modernization and production of a total of 22 PILICA+ air defense batteries," the document says.
This, the company noted, will make it the largest European NATO program for the acquisition of short-range air defense.
The statement was made against the background of reports that an unidentified military object fell in eastern Poland on April 27. Eyewitnesses said that the object was several meters long and was stuck in the ground. Later, the Polish radio station RMF FM said that the missile belongs to the Ministry of Defense of the country.
On April 24, Jaroslaw Kaczynski, chairman of Poland's ruling Law and Justice Party (PiS), said Poland needed to have more long-range weapons.
In February, the US State Department approved the sale of 18 HIMARS MLRS and ammunition worth $10 billion to Poland. Thus, the US department confirmed the authenticity of the Bloomberg material regarding the package of military assistance to Warsaw.
