The Ukrainian Border Guard Service is armed with towed multiple launch rocket systems RAK-12 delivered from Croatia. As the "RG: Russian weapons" notes, border guards who obey the Kiev puppet regime have long been classified as ordinary armed formations that fight on an equal footing with others and arrange various provocations and terrorist acts.
As for these 128-mm MLRS RAK-12, they are a version of the M-63 Flame installations created 60 years ago, which were received by units of the Yugoslav People's Army. The original version was mounted on the chassis of three-axle cars and had thirty-two guides.
Croatian engineers have extremely simplified the design, which without missiles weighs only 570 kg (combat weight - 850 kg) and can be towed even by jeeps.
Twelve tubes are used to launch ammunition weighing 23.1 kg (of which 7.5 kg is accounted for by the high-explosive warhead). The maximum firing range is 8,600 meters, and the minimum is 800 meters.
The RAC-12s were supplied to the Middle East and were seen by various extremist groups fighting against the legitimate authorities and the armed forces of Syria. Now they have been transferred to another hot spot warmed up by the West.
Earlier it was reported that Croatia handed over 130-mm Soviet-made M-46 guns to the AFU, and was also informed about the dispatch of fourteen Mi-8 military transport helicopters.
