Lithuania will hand over to Ukraine a batch of Israeli-made RADA ieMHR tactical radars designed to detect aerial targets, as well as for use in counter-battery warfare. This is reported by the Ukrainian press with reference to the Lithuanian volunteer organization Blue / Yellow, created specifically to help the Kiev regime.
In total, the Lithuanians intend to transfer sixteen tactical radars to Kiev, of which 12 are stationary, and four more are mobile. Details are not reported, the first three radars have already gone to Ukraine, there is no information on the delivery of the rest, but all radars are already on the territory of Lithuania.
As stated in Vilnius, the RADA ieMHR radar should strengthen the protection of Ukraine from Russian air attacks, in particular drones, and can also be used in counter-battery warfare. The Ukrainian military has already been trained in the use of radar data, in March a group of airmen took four-day special courses.
It is reported that the ieMHR radar is a tactical three-dimensional radar complex manufactured by the Israeli company RADA Electronic Industries Ltd, capable of detecting small targets in the scanning area, providing the operator with information about the position and height of detected aerial objects even in conditions of active interference.
MHR (Multi-Mission Hemispheric Radar) has several manufacturing options, differing in antenna diameter. In the variant for the ieMHR APU, the diameter is 79 cm. The radar is capable of detecting an aircraft at a range of 50 km . The viewing angle of the radar antennas is 90 degrees, 4 antennas are needed for a circular view. MHRS provide detection of all types of manned and unmanned aerial vehicles, guided and unguided missiles, mines and artillery shells and can be used in various short-range air defense systems.
