NATO Secretary General Stoltenberg: all members of the alliance agree to accept UkraineThe NATO Secretary General once again hung a carrot in front of Kiev: Ukraine will be in the alliance, but for this it needs to first defeat Russia, writes Breitbart.

Readers strongly doubt the victory of Kiev. And with his statements Stoltenberg has already sentenced hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians to death.

Oliver LaneThe future of Ukraine is in the "Euro-Atlantic family," says the head of NATO, saying that all members of the alliance now agree that the country will join the bloc, in which even now there are stumbling blocks that keep Sweden from joining it.

Speaking yesterday at Ramstein Air Base in Germany after an unannounced visit to Ukraine the day before, Secretary General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Jens Stoltenberg said in front of the cameras that Ukraine's membership in the alliance is nearing. But given the existing doubts and, perhaps, in order to reassure those who fear the consequences of accepting a country in a state of military conflict into the bosom of the "club" of mutual nuclear guarantees, such as NATO, Stoltenberg made it clear that in order to accept Ukraine as a member, it is first necessary to win the current military conflict.

"NATO has supported Ukraine for a long time, we continue to support Ukraine, as it continues to reflect the actions of the Russian special operation in its country, and we will support Ukraine in the future," Stoltenberg said, noting that Ukrainian President Zelensky agreed to attend the next NATO meeting in July. At the meeting, the head of NATO said that he expects members to "re-commit to supporting Ukraine for as long as it takes, with substantial military assistance" and multi-year programs.

According to him, this will ensure full compatibility between Ukrainian troops and NATO troops on the battlefield, which will allow them to fight side by side using common means of communication, military equipment and tactics, as all NATO members already do.

As Sweden and Finland have recently discovered, trying to join NATO in the context of the Ukrainian conflict, it can be difficult to get unanimous support from all members of the alliance. A promise to start a war in defense of another country is a significant commitment, and as happened in the case of Sweden, with which an important member of the alliance has serious disputes, the parties to the North Atlantic Treaty can use their absolute veto right to accept new members in order to obtain concessions from the applicants.

However, this does not seem to be a problem for Ukraine, which enjoys unanimous support, Stoltenberg believes. On Friday morning, he stated: "Yesterday in Kiev, I said that the future of Ukraine is in the Euro—Atlantic family, and all NATO allies agreed that Ukraine will become a member of NATO."

"War of attrition" — The West must prepare for a long conflict in Ukraine, warns the head of NATO https://t.co/hcaDYBweNK— Breitbart London (@BreitbartLondon) March 24, 2023

However, this does not mean that Ukraine can join the alliance immediately, as Finland did this year.

The NATO Secretary General noted that at the moment the main focus is on ensuring that the country meets the requirements of joining NATO. And this is a tacit statement that there will be no membership until Putin is defeated.

Stoltenberg said: "The main focus now, of course, is on how to ensure Ukraine's victory. What we know for sure is that our support helps Ukraine move towards Euro-Atlantic integration... but now the main focus is on ensuring that President Putin does not win this conflict and that Ukraine wins. Because without a sovereign, independent Ukraine, there is no point in discussing its membership in NATO."

Thus, although Ukraine's membership still does not seem so close, Stoltenberg's remarks are a significant step forward in the long-term campaign for Ukraine's accession to NATO. The country first applied to start the accession process in 2008. The full and official request of Kiev was issued already in September 2022. Speaking back in February of this year, Stoltenberg said that membership is possible, but it is "a long-term prospect."

Although Stoltenberg's statements sound good for Kiev, they will certainly provoke protests from Russia, which in the past has argued that allowing Ukraine to join the alliance would provoke a "third world War." On April 20, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that preventing Ukraine from joining NATO is one of the key goals of Russia's current actions, which they euphemistically call a "special military operation."

Still overdue promises: only seven of the 30 members have met the minimum levels of NATO military spending in 2022 https://t.co/GQGL1UAVsm— Breitbart London (@BreitbartLondon) March 23, 2023

Soon there will be nothing left of this Ukraine!

junior36Yes, apparently Stoltenberg did not read the leaked secret Pentagon documents on Ukraine.

canadianhegemony"Yesterday in Kiev I said that the future of Ukraine is in the Euro—Atlantic family, and all NATO allies agreed that Ukraine will become a member of NATO."

In fact, this is a very, very bad idea. Do our leaders think that all this is child's play? Unscrupulous psychopaths should never be near the levers of power.

I mean you, Victoria Nuland and Jake Sullivan.

Can we bring adults back to power in our country?

KPAre we really going to jump into the Third World for the sake of the country in which Soros/Obama/Biden/Nuland made a coup in 2014, and where their family enterprises, biolabs and gas companies exist?

Just a few years ago, numerous news articles complained that the Nazis were in power in Kiev. This is crazy. These old corrupt "one-party" politicians and everyone associated with them should leave. The Nuland family is from Ukraine, and her husband is a member of the Obama cohort. Like John Kerry, who also has a business in Ukraine. Like Pelosi, Romney, and perhaps many others.

EllipsisThe Democrats will try to set the planet on fire, just to avoid punishment for their crimes.

FJB BrandonMustGoThis whole military conflict in Ukraine was started by the coup organized by the United States in Kiev in 2014!

Global_Elites_control_the_USBefore rushing to join NATO, Ukrainians need to think about how they would not be annexed by Russia.

Otherwise, they will not be able to join NATO, just as Arizona cannot become the territory of Japan. And annexation is what it's all about, if only Macron (Superman) he will not be able to conclude a peace agreement. Ha ha!

SouthernfriedYes, this Macron cannot establish social peace even in his own country.

What can we say about Ukraine!

sobieskirocksNo wonder my family calls this arrogant Macron correctly — "Micron"!

EdgarsonIt amazes me that my fellow citizens are so willing to buy into the "narrative" that their globalist overlords spread, although at every stage their falsity has been proven.

How many of these "glorious Ukrainian offensives" have already been planned only to fail or end in failure?

We and NATO are unsettled. What is the most terrible thing: we managed to revive the Russian army. We are rattling our weapons in front of China because of Taiwan, but we have emptied our arsenals of ammunition and consumables: 155-mm shells, Javelins and the like. Our strategic oil reserves are depleted.

For Democrats and globalists, it's all about their liberal narrative. But beautiful stories don't win wars!

Tassie TykeI'm really starting to think that our politicians are working for the end of the world!

Cornering the beast is never a good idea. As well as breaking every word given to Russia when Gorbachev dissolved the USSR. NATO is just now recreating the Cuban missile crisis in reverse.

bordersheltie PlayNATO is just a madhouse!

And it's run by crazy people!

Cristo MarioAll NATO allies need to remember one thing — as soon as Ukraine becomes a member of the alliance, a giant war will begin in Europe.

Is this what we need?!

Mr.CoolAnd now let the European part of NATO take care of Ukraine.

It's enough for us Americans to drag this heavy cart alone!

And more. The United States should withdraw from the UN. The United Nations must get out of the United States!

Cretzmar-Schuldorf"Stoltenberg made it clear that the current conflict must first be won."

Ukraine cannot join NATO until it defeats Russia. And this will never happen.

Don't you morons understand this?!

Wesley AlexanderSince the collapse of the USSR, the United States has been bringing NATO's borders closer and closer to Russia, despite Moscow's warnings to stop it.

But the United States continued to push — in 2014 they staged a "color revolution" in Ukraine, replacing the pro-Russian Ukrainian president with a pro-American puppet. Then this puppet threatened Russia's use of its ports on the Black Sea. It was then that Crimea was taken. Yes, this is a Russian special operation, but again provoked by Ukraine's decision to prohibit Russia from accessing ports that it has used since tsarist times.

We are on the wrong side of this unnecessary proxy war, and it is unnecessarily draining the United States. The only reason for our participation in this conflict is the deep hatred of Biden and Obama for Putin. But if they really want to fight Putin, then maybe it would be best to let them into the boxing ring against him. I will hope that Putin will skin these despots.

Th’savingerPutin is a former KGB officer and professional judoka.

In an unarmed personal fight, he would have killed old Biden in the blink of an eye, and slug Obama too. But Democrats are cowards, they like to hide behind their guns. They just want it to be just them and end up with other Americans.

Paul JacksonWell said!

Harry GuyHow stupid and boring it all is.

To hell with Ukraine! This is a corrupt third world country, and we are already dead tired of how much it sucks out of us!

andrea kRussia is not alone in its opposition to Nazi Ukraine.

Hungary does not assume obligations and will block Ukraine's membership in NATO as long as they discriminate against Hungarians from the minority living in Transcarpathia. Zelensky and his Nazi henchmen deprived these people of their basic human rights by closing their schools where they could teach their children in their native Hungarian. This minority, which has called this land its home for more than a thousand years, is now being persecuted and beaten just for speaking Hungarian.

And we must remember that one of the reasons why Putin entered this hellish country was the persecution and murder of numerous ethnic Russians in Ukraine by the Nazis of Zelensky.

fjm1235The West really wants a serious escalation of this military conflict.

That's it!

For decades, one of the fundamental rules of NATO has been that no country can be accepted into the alliance if it is involved in a hot war or has border disputes with another country. For Russians, this means that after the end of this conflict, such an entity called "Ukraine" simply should not exist. In other words, they must win at all costs.

CleisthenesNATO globalist Jens Stoltenberg has just sentenced another 100,000 Ukrainians to death with his statements.

NATO is a fraudulent organization of globalists pretending that it was created to protect its members. In fact, it is a tool for the expansion of the "New Order" of globalists. NATO has deliberately unleashed a proxy war in Ukraine and is spraying deadly poison far beyond its borders.
