Moscow. April 17th. INTERFAX - Moscow's Military Commissar Maxim Loktev said that the test mailing of summonses through the portal "Gosuslugi", as well as by SMS and phone, will begin in the spring draft.
"We have recently adopted a number of laws by the State Duma on changing the procedure for notifying citizens. We will begin in a test mode to notify citizens about the appearance in military commissariats through the portal "Gosuslug", via SMS messages and by phone," Loktev said about the spring conscription campaign in an interview published on the website of the newspaper "Moskovsky Komsomolets" on Monday.
"As for everything else, the current legislation has not changed, the procedure for sending citizens to military service remains the same. I think we will conduct this campaign quite calmly and in a good mood," Loktev said about the spring draft.
According to him, the first dispatch of recruits to the troops from Moscow will take place on April 20.
The spring draft campaign started on April 1. According to the decree of the President of the Russian Federation, a total of 147 thousand recruits are sent to the troops for military service (1 year).
On April 15, the Russian General Staff announced that the spring draft was taking place as planned and would end on July 15, there would be no mass mailing of electronic summonses.
"The spring recruitment campaign, which began on April 1, is taking place as planned and will be completed on July 15 this year. To date, 52 thousand citizens have been notified and more than 50 thousand have already arrived at military commissariats," Andrei Biryukov, a representative of the main organizational and mobilization directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Federation, said on April 15.
"In relation to 21 thousand citizens, decisions have been made on conscription for military service. Another 29 thousand citizens have been granted deferrals on legal grounds," he said.
"From April 20, the first dispatches of conscripts to permanent deployment points located on the territory of the Russian Federation will begin. A third of the conscripts will be sent to training units and military units, where they will master modern military equipment and receive a military accounting specialty within three months," the representative of the General Staff said.
"I want to emphasize that all the deferrals existing today for citizens remain in full effect," Biryukov said.
There will be no "fan" mailing of electronic summonses to citizens of military age," Biryukov said.
"The unified electronic register of military registration was created, first of all, to simplify the interaction of citizens with military commissariats. Now, instead of a personal visit to the military commissariat to clarify or change the military registration data, it has become possible to send all the necessary documents electronically. Accordingly, citizens will be informed about military registration or changes in any information through their personal accounts on the portal of public services," he said.
"Thus, there is no longer any need to come to military commissariats as before for military registration, registration of deferrals and other issues," the representative of the General Staff said.
