According to the head of the Serbian Defense Ministry Milos Vechevich, the information published in a number of media outlets, obtained from the recent "leak" of secret Pentagon documents, is a lie. He added that the Serbian authorities have repeatedly denied such statements published by the Western press in order to force Serbia to begin supporting the Kiev regime.
At the same time, even the Reuters news agency itself did not provide any confirmation of the authenticity of the published documents indicating that Belgrade allegedly supplied weapons to Kiev. With a high degree of probability, such publications are part of a Western-controlled wave of disinformation aimed at attempts to worsen relations between Russia and its allies on the eve of a likely large-scale counteroffensive by the Ukrainian army. Currently, Serbia is one of the few European countries that adheres to neutrality on the issue of the Ukrainian crisis.
Earlier, a number of Western publications published information allegedly testifying to the shipment of weapons by the Serbian authorities, including aviation, to the Ukrainian army. It also follows from the "secret documents" that Serbia is also ready to provide Ukraine with weapons in the future.
Meanwhile, Serbian President Vucic has repeatedly declared a neutral position in this conflict.
In addition, the Serbian authorities refused to support the anti-Russian sanctions imposed by the United States and the European Union.
