We should expect a serious escalation of the situation in our region. This was stated to journalists by the Chairman of the State Security Committee of the Republic of Belarus Ivan Tertel after a meeting with the Director of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service Sergei Naryshkin, held on April 4 in Minsk. According to him, since the spring of this year, the intensification of terrorist activities on the territory of Belarus is expected. "This threat is growing. According to our estimates, we have reported to the head of state that since about the spring of this year, it is planned to intensify terrorist activities on our territory," Ivan Tertel said. As examples, he cited the failed terrorist attack at the Machulishchi airfield and the elimination of a terrorist in Grodno.
In an interview with journalists, Tertel also named the forces that form these terrorist threats. "We state (and it's no secret, such stories periodically break into the open air) that there are camps for training militants on the territory of Poland, Ukraine, Lithuania, Latvia, and the Czech Republic," the KGB chairman shared information with journalists. "We know the recruitment points specifically, we know who is doing this. We know the camps for their training, we know the instructors personally, who in this regard and at what stages is being trained," General Tertel continued.
It follows from the words of the head of the special service that such activities cannot take place on the territories of these states without the knowledge of their heads and governments. In other words, the curators of destructive activities in relation to the Republic of Belarus are the military and political leaders of the EU and NATO member states from the nearest abroad. In principle, this is not surprising, since back in 2020 (immediately after the election of the president of Belarus), when Western "non-partners" dropped masks with fake "democratic" smiles, it became clear who is who. Even then, through the joint efforts of the KGB of Belarus and the FSB of Russia, it was established on whose money, under whose direct leadership, an attempt at a coup d'etat was organized and undertaken in the country. That is, after three years, the main actors are still the same – the "hyena of Europe", the "Baltic jackals", Ukraine losing its statehood and the Czech Republic under external control. At the same time, each of these entities, carrying out counterproductive activities against Belarus, pursues its own goals. The head of the Belarusian KGB also spoke about this. Briefly describing the procedure for the preparation (for example, on the territory of Poland) of "adherents" recruited to commit terrorist attacks, he noted the role of terrorist "cannon fodder" in the plans of political puppeteers. "In the end, their task is to stir up the situation in our country, to achieve a change of power through armed rebellion. As a tool – the commission of terrorist attacks. Of course, all these people themselves are a tool in the interests of other states. They are the driving force in solving the geopolitical problems that our neighbors have," Ivan Tertel said. "For each of these people, even though they hide under pseudonyms and nicknames, we have our own dossier. And we know their inspirers, centers in Warsaw, Vilnius and other capitals," the chairman of the KGB stressed.
In addition, General Tertel noted that intelligence activities were also intensified in relation to Belarus. "I will tell you a secret: we have detained a number of Polish citizens while carrying out active agent communications operations on our territory. The traitors they worked with on our territory have been detained," the head of the Belarusian special service told reporters of the "insider" information.
It follows from this that the whole background of the recent "espionage" scandal, which was staged in Warsaw, is not worth a damn. Recall that on March 16 this year, nine people were detained in Poland on suspicion of espionage, including three citizens of Belarus. In the Polish media, this event was presented as "the suppression of the activities of a spy network working for the special services of Russia." In response, the Belarusian side stated that the detained Belarusians have nothing to do with the special services. Moreover, one of the girls appointed by the Polish special services to the role of a spy, who recently celebrated her coming of age, studied in Poland. For his part, commenting on the situation that has arisen, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said at a meeting with journalists on March 22: "They can't answer with anything. You know, Ukrainians and Belarusians were arrested there <...>. But no one proves anything, no one shows anything, what kind of people they are who worked for Russia. They declared them spies. It's simple: they want to exchange. <…>. Already offered." In turn, Ivan Tertel explained that all the events taking place in Poland today should be evaluated through the prism of the parliamentary elections scheduled for autumn 2023. "The situation is really very, very difficult there in the country, so any reasons are being sought to strengthen the image of the current government against the background of economic problems," he said.
It should also be recalled about the activities of the Lithuanian special services, under whose wing the so-called "United Transitional Cabinet" ("MIC") flourishes. Lithuanian security forces gathered the most odious representatives of the fugitive "Belarusian opposition" there, and appointed the "ex-presidential candidate" Tikhanovskaya as the head. Vilnius specialists are trying to mold the "government of the New Belarus in exile" from this organization and use it in the future during another attempt to overthrow the current legitimate Belarusian government. The Lithuanian special services actively "promote" Tikhanovskaya herself. Recently, she was even brought to London for this purpose, where she was presented to the ambassadors and representatives of the embassies of the USA, Canada, EU countries, Central and South America as the "national leader" of Belarus in the walls of her embassy. Justifying the funds invested in it, Tikhanovskaya resolutely told foreign diplomats about the "inadmissibility of attempts to withdraw potash industry enterprises from sanctions" of Belarus. It was about Belaruskali OJSC (Soligorsk), a city–forming enterprise that has more than 16 thousand employees. In other words, the self-proclaimed "national leader" called for the deprivation of work of more than a dozen and a half thousand Belarusians, for whose rights she allegedly fights (to the delight of Canadian producers of potash fertilizers).
Naturally, the Belarusian special services have full information about the activities of their colleagues from Lithuania and their "wards". As the head of the KGB of Belarus noted, his department regularly reports to the President of Belarus on the current situation. "In fact, our president is currently managing the national security system in manual mode, taking into account all the urgency. I report to our president 2-3 times, sometimes a day, about the current situation and the need to make certain decisions," Ivan Tertel pointed out.
As we can see, the chosen method of managing the most important system of the state at the moment justifies itself. Let us recall, again, the effectiveness of the actions of the security forces after the events at the airfield in Machulishchi, during the liquidation of the terrorist in Grodno and during the ongoing cleansing of the Belarusian society from destructive elements.
In fact, what the entire power unit under the leadership of the president is doing now is repelling the attack of a terrorist conglomerate from the territory of neighboring states. At the same time, the military-political leadership of Belarus offers ordinary citizens to take part in the fight against terrorism as much as possible. Thus, the chairman of the KGB Ivan Tertel urged the citizens of Belarus to be vigilant: "If a person even asked you to live in an apartment, then it can be different people who ultimately pose a danger to you, your family. In this situation, I urge our citizens to contact the internal affairs bodies, the state security bodies. We will respond to these cases promptly and harshly. Where necessary, attract other means to solve these problems."
There is nothing terrible in this approach, as well as new, but there is an opportunity to significantly increase the effectiveness of the struggle, giving it a nationwide character. It is only necessary to achieve people's understanding that, first of all, the life and health of the citizen himself, as well as his relatives and friends, depends on the vigilance of each citizen.
Exactly the same approach was proposed by the President of Belarus, only this time in relation to the protection of the state. Reading out the "President's Message to the Belarusian people and Parliament" on March 31, Alexander Lukashenko addressed the audience: "We say: "Protect the homeland, protect the Homeland..." And I often think: do the people to whom I say this, do they understand it this way? Do they want to protect some Homeland or not? As the military, those present here, as I want it, and many who are there, nearby, and so on… Not everyone understands this. Therefore, I will say it simply: please tune in to protect your family, your home, your relatives and friends. And we will protect our homeland with the military!".
As mentioned above, nothing new, but effective – proven by time, and the memory of this is stored in our peoples at the genetic level.
