/tass/. Bulgaria does not participate in the deal for the supply of shells to Ukraine, but is working with the European Commission to launch the production of NATO-style ammunition at its enterprises. This was stated on Thursday by Bulgarian President Rumen Radev upon arrival at the EU summit.
"Bulgaria is working with the European Commission to make serious investments in our defense industry, so that the capabilities of our enterprises for the production of various weapons are expanded. We want to introduce technologies for the production of 155 mm shells according to NATO standards, which will be an important step for the modernization of our army, but we are not participating in a deal for the joint delivery of shells to Ukraine," Radev said.
