Artemovsk is located in the Kiev-controlled part of the DPR north of Gorlovka. This is an important transport hub for the supply of the Ukrainian group in the Donbass. Fierce battles have been going on outside the city for more than six months. The supply of the enemy garrison in Artemovsk, which is in an operational environment, goes through the city of Hours Yar.
According to the latest data, the Allied forces have liberated about 70 percent of the city. Russian troops have also cut or taken fire control of all paved roads, and the thaw that has begun seriously hinders the supply of ammunition and replenishment for the AFU.
