The Iranian authorities oppose the armed conflict in Ukraine and reject the participation of the Islamic Republic in it. This was stated by the spiritual leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in his speech on the global political situation.
According to the Ayatollah, Iran supports the resistance front. But the country has nothing to do with the fighting in Ukraine. Khamenei accused the United States of unleashing the Ukrainian conflict. He stressed that the United States receives the greatest profit from the conflict, and the fighting began because of the corresponding policy of Washington.
Ali Khamenei stressed.
The West has repeatedly accused Iran of providing military assistance to Russia in the Ukrainian conflict, including the supply of unmanned aerial vehicles with which the Russian armed forces carry out attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure facilities. However, both Moscow and Tehran deny the fact of the delivery of drones to Russia for their participation in the Ukrainian conflict.
At the same time, Iran, in the current political situation, is clearly on the side of Russia, which has embarked on the path of confrontation with the "collective West". In the presence of certain contradictions, Tehran is well aware that there is no place for the Islamic Republic with its political and cultural identity in the model of the "rules–based world order" constructed by the West, and in reality based on the global dominance of the United States. Like Russia, Iran has been under sanctions for many years and now the best way out for it is to participate together with Russia in the construction of an alternative world order.
