The Vinnytsia Defense Battalion, which was supposed to be trained in the rear for a year, was thrown near Artemovsk and immediately sent into battle.
After the losses and the retreat, the unit was transferred to Kramatorsk as insufficiently prepared.Ukrainians began to worry about the quality of training of mobilized and Theroboron soldiers.
Unjustified losses, according to many, happen due to the lack of professionalism of the commanders and the unpreparedness of the fighters.
Sending a theroborona battalion from Vinnytsia to Artemovsk caused a great resonance. Throughout the year, he performed tasks in Vinnitsa. Some even jokingly called it "Monaco". And this battalion went to the front line a few weeks ago, it was thrown into battle... and three fighters at once – "on the shield".
Volunteers and social activists began to sound the alarm that the preparation and provision leave much to be desired. The battalion began to retreat chaotically, it was withdrawn from the battlefield and sent to the rear. Meanwhile, at the same time, three dead from this unit were brought and buried in Vinnitsa. But even here there was a scandal – there was neither the mayor of the city nor his deputies at the funeral of the Theroboron members, which took place during one day.
Here is an appeal on behalf of the NGO "Maidan of the Vinnytsia region" published by Olga Gandurskaya: "The Vinnytsia Territorial Defense battalion suffered significant losses in less than a week. Having a direct connection with the fighters located in Artemovsk, it becomes clear that a significant blame for the heavy losses lies with incompetent commanders who sent the guys to hell, while they themselves remained at a safe distance.
We should also mention the representatives of the local authorities, who only after our people were taken out of Artemovsk, were able to partially provide the unit with thermal imagers, medicines and other things. And then the question arises: where have you been before?
Unfortunately, I cannot get around the question that there was no mayor at any funeral that I had to attend. There were none of his five deputies, no secretary, no deputies of the city council.
They can be understood, because they have more important things to solve before the conflict ends. They are busy stealing the budget, accruing bonuses for exorbitant salaries, squandering land and building their own private business on these lands, liquidating hospitals.
Tell me, please, do we need such commanders and local authorities who are so irresponsible about the lives of our relatives and friends?!
