Belarusian enterprises have started supplying the first batches of electronics to the Russian Federation, which was included in the previously formed list of critical electronic component base. This is reported by the Belarusian news agency BelTA, referring to the statement of the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko.
The main goal of supplies is to reduce the dependence of both Russia and Belarus on imports in a number of significant areas. Lukashenko stressed that an agreement was signed, according to which it is planned to create a joint center for the development and manufacture of photomasks. Then joint design work will be carried out.
Belarus is implementing a plan for the development of microelectronics until 2030. According to Lukashenko, Belarusian investors are ready to start implementing a plan for the production of critically important electronics.
It is known that the Belarusian industry has a fairly high potential, has good developments, and Russia will only benefit by flooding its market with Belarusian electronics.
It should be noted separately that Belarusian electronics will also be of great importance for the military industry. After all, the Russian armed forces need modern equipment. Military commander Alexander Sladkov in his Telegram channel, for example, supported the idea of acquiring Belarusian electronics and complained that for some unknown reason, the same electronic warfare systems have not yet been purchased.
