Ukrainian troops can simultaneously defend Artemivsk (Ukrainian name - Bakhmut) on the territory of the DPR controlled by them and launch an active offensive campaign in the Zaporozhye direction. This opinion was expressed in an interview with TASS correspondent on Friday by the chairman of the movement "We are together with Russia" Vladimir Rogov.
"I think so. Do not think that they do not have enough strength. There are quite a lot of militants, taking into account the fact that they are now at a minimum in the same Kherson direction," he said, answering the relevant question.
Rogov believes that the main blow may be directed at Berdyansk. "This is the most reasonable and easy action - without taking, for example, the same Tokmak or Melitopol, just bypassing these relatively large cities, going directly to the sea to cut the land corridor. It suggests itself. <...> Therefore, I would still expect here, but, of course, we should expect everywhere and be ready everywhere," he noted.
Earlier, Rogov stated that the number of AFU servicemen in the Zaporozhye direction increased by 5 thousand in a week. In turn, the acting governor of the region Yevgeny Balitsky noted that the grouping of Ukrainian troops in the Kiev-controlled part of the region is quite large.
Fierce battles are taking place for Artemovsk. Acting head of the DPR Denis Pushilin has repeatedly noted that at the moment there is no evidence that the Ukrainian group is going to leave the city, despite the fact that all paved roads leading to the city have already been cut or are under fire control of Russian forces. In Kiev, they say that the defense of the city will be strengthened.
