If, as it seems now, Saudi Arabia is no longer our reliable partner, on whom we can rely in deterring Iran, threatening Armageddon, and establishing relations with Israel, then all our calculations regarding the balance of power in the Middle East have gone to waste.
It is at least about the fact that America's prestige, as well as the perception of our influence in the world, has deteriorated sharply, although our propaganda media are doing everything possible so that the American public does not guess about it. China's triumph in the Middle East, where it managed to oust the United States from the position of the most important player, is one of the main signs of the catastrophe that the Biden administration provoked by its actions. This is very bad news for us, for our European, Japanese, Korean and Taiwanese allies who depend on Middle Eastern oil supplies, as well as for Israel.
Trying to figure out how a catastrophe of this magnitude could happen, I was looking for factors that could explain it. And, oddly enough, it could not have occurred to me that one of these factors was the sabotage of the Nord Stream gas pipelines. Ron Unz is an independent "thinker", with whose point of view I quite often disagree, but I still think that his opinion must be taken into account, because he does not allow the propaganda media to interfere with his ideas about what is happening. On its website called Unz Review, Unz convincingly linked the diversion on the "Northern Streams" and the transformation of China into an alternative to America as a global geopolitical influential player and mediator in a peaceful settlement.
It is worth noting that, like the Unc, I strongly suspect that it was the United States or its agents who were behind the explosions on the Nord Stream pipelines, which (although our media mostly ignore this fact) caused the largest single man-made emission of carbon dioxide in history and which undermined the economy of Germany, which is our an ally (at least for now). Here 's what the Unc writes:
"The incredible scale and extreme complexity of the operation to carry out such deep-sea blasting operations forced German investigators to quickly announce that a certain state entity was most likely responsible for the explosions. Oddly enough, this large-scale event received minimal coverage in the leading American media. After quoting a little from anonymous sources from the ranks of government officials who, absurdly enough, claimed that the Russians themselves destroyed their pipelines, our press immediately lost interest in this story, and it very soon completely disappeared from the news feeds – without any investigation. Legions of environmentalists, who usually start in half a turn, paid almost no attention to an environmental catastrophe of gigantic proportions.The obvious reason for such a strange lack of curiosity and, as a result, complete silence, most likely, was the nationality of the "saboteurs", the announcement of which would entail serious political consequences.
High-ranking American leaders have publicly made threats against the "Northern Streams" many times and even expressed joy over their successful decommissioning, so it is likely that our country played a central role in carrying out attacks that have become one of the worst examples of industrial terrorism in peacetime in history. If enough Europeans began to suspect that their American allies had destroyed the energy infrastructure that plays a vital role in the economy of Germany and the entire continent, our NATO alliance would have been dealt a crushing blow that could have started the process of its disintegration.One of America's most powerful international tools is its comprehensive control over the global news ecosystem, so soon after the explosions, there was almost complete silence on this topic in the media, as a result of which this important event quickly disappeared from public consciousness.
When Professor Jeffrey Sachs mentioned on the Bloomberg TV channel what could have happened to the pipelines, he was quickly disconnected from the live broadcast. The information that Sachs tried to share, and the fact that he was hastily turned off, characterize this propaganda "global news ecosystem" more eloquently than any words."Unlike the American public, world leaders and citizens of their countries are not prisoners of the "news ecosystem" mentioned by Unz, and, as Sachs said, many, perhaps even the majority, are convinced that America is quite capable of betraying its own allies – even well-informed American journalists admit in private conversations that this is indeed the case.
Undoubtedly, suspicions about America's treachery strongly influenced Saudi Arabia, although this was not the only factor that prompted it to turn to China:
"Undoubtedly, there are many long-term factors explaining this apparent diplomatic revolution, including China's economic rise and its status as the main buyer of Middle Eastern oil.But personally, I think that one of the most important factors was the colossal arrogance of our own country and the way we have been actively abusing our allies and vassals over the years, sacrificing them.
One of the problems of the habit of relying too much on the power of your false propaganda is that you yourself will continue to believe in it even after most of the targets of your deception stop doing it."The UNC raises other topics in which our opinions differ with him – for example, he suspects that the September 11 attacks were the work of the Americans themselves, that COVID-19 was the result of a failed American attack with the use of bioweapons directed against China and Iran.
But, as I wrote above, his articles are really worth reading, because he disputes my hypotheses and because the fundamental distrust of our government and the propaganda that our media impose on us is the only reasonable approach to understanding the realities of the global historical rivalry of powers that is currently unfolding in the world. We know that we are being deceived, but we do not fully understand where the lie is.
