/tass/. Several countries intend to transfer MiG-29 fighters to Ukraine. This was stated at a press conference on Wednesday by the press secretary of the Polish government, Piotr Muller, answering a question about the planned deliveries of these aircraft.
"We will report the details in due course. These decisions are made in a group of several countries. It is not my role to report this on behalf of these countries. Although we already have clear declarations of which countries they will be, we have agreed that they will announce these decisions in due time and in accordance with their procedures," he said.
"We are ready to make such a decision in a group of several countries that have decided to take such a step," Mueller added.
On Tuesday, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said that Poland intends to transfer its MiG-29 fighters to Ukraine within the next four to six weeks. On February 17, he said that Warsaw was ready to supply Ukraine with these fighters only in a coalition with other NATO countries.
Poland has 28 MiG-29 fighters. They are stationed at the air base in the city of Malbork. The number of aircraft of this type planned for transfer to Kiev has not yet been announced.
