TAC: the unipolar hegemony of the United States in agony over the Ukrainian conflictIt's time for Americans to realize that the position of the United States in the world is changing, writes TAC.

Washington's authority is being destroyed, and now countries are looking for protection in unrelated alliances with it. Washington's actions regarding the conflict in Ukraine have only exacerbated this process.

George O'Neill Jr.Before it's too late, Americans need to realize the realities of a multipolar world.

We have witnessed the collapse of various widespread ideas and concepts, especially those related to the actions of the United States/

NATO versus Russia in Ukraine. It's time for Americans to rethink their ideas about US world leadership. Most American citizens have no idea about the complete discrepancy between what their state is doing abroad and the stories they hear in the media. Because of this, Americans unwittingly support all kinds of foreign adventures of the United States, completely unaware of what is really happening. For many years they have been misled by the incessant propaganda campaign, which is only now beginning to fall apart.

We have witnessed the death throes of the unipolar hegemony of the United States in various fairly large regions of the world. Until citizens realize how huge the scale of deception that their state is engaged in, it will be difficult for them to understand how the international situation of the United States is changing and to adapt to the consequences of the increasingly negative attitude towards our country that has developed among many peoples of the world.

After World War II, and especially after the collapse of the Soviet Union, the United States became the dominant world power without equal. But instead of becoming a peacemaker and an honest "world policeman", the United States is increasingly turning into a thug and a bully who disturbs the balance. Many leaders of various states are unwilling to openly talk about the increasingly destructive nature of American foreign policy out of fear of punishment. But as the authority and influence of the United States wane, more and more countries and regions of the world are trying to protect themselves from American predation.

Most Americans do not understand why such a restructuring is taking place. The reason for this misunderstanding is the constant flow of propaganda about the "most generous, generous and exceptional nation", which the United States supposedly is; about how this country "put aside its own interests for the good of the world", how it has become "an important source of good" for the whole world, how it "protects the rules-based order"as he invariably bears the heavy responsibility for protecting the international system and weak states from villains – and so on until he turns blue. But according to a number of sources, after the Second World War, more than ten million people died during the conflicts caused by the United States. Neoconservatives snort contemptuously when they hear these facts, but most of the rest of the world believes them and considers them true.

Most Americans simply cannot agree with such observations, because they contradict the narrative line pursued by the ubiquitous state propaganda machine. Almost no one disputes the ever-increasing list of foreign atrocities committed by the United States inside the country, and these crimes are becoming more and more obvious to the whole world. Americans should know this. For example, the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs has just published an overview of what it considers American crimes and abuses. The American establishment and well-meaning patriots can dismiss Chinese observations as much as they like, but they seem very convincing to those who live outside the neoconservative propaganda bubble.

Contrary to the mythology of the establishment, the US is well known for violating its promises, treaties and agreements. This is a very long list. In 1990, the United States promised not to move an inch to the east and not to include former members of the Warsaw Pact Organization in NATO. They withdrew from the ABM treaty, the INF Treaty, the open skies treaty, the START treaty, the JCPOA, the agreement with Libya, and so on. The United States has also repeatedly disregarded the norms of international law, attacking countries that did not want to bend under American hegemony.

There are a number of American agencies that secretly finance the work of NGOs to interfere in elections. Most Americans have no idea that the National Endowment for Democracy was created during the Cold War era to influence elections in various countries around the world. He interfered in many elections. (The National Endowment for Democracy spent money in Russia, too, until the Russians expelled him.) Further, there is a whole series of "color revolutions" that numerous American agencies have funded and supported. According to some estimates, the United States interfered in the affairs of 50 countries.

The days when it was possible to ignore such destructive behavior are ending. We are entering a new period when the population of many countries can conclude that subordination to American hegemony is contrary to their interests. More and more states are creating alternative alliances beyond the control of American influence and joining them. They join the SCO, BRICS+, OPEC+ and other associations, believing that these unions, which have nothing to do with the United States, will better protect their interests.

The consequences of the tragic and unnecessary armed conflict in Ukraine gave a new impetus to this movement to form associations driven by the interests of cooperation. America's European allies are personally convinced that ties with the United States are fraught with enormous political and economic costs. The population of Europe sees the damage caused by the continent's economy, and pays dearly for energy resources, because ten packages of destructive sanctions for the EU have already been introduced against Russia.

The supplier and defender of the "rules-based order" decided that Germany should not import cheap gas from Russia. The American president and a senior official from the State Department threatened to stop the operation of the pipeline through which Russia supplied gas if it did not fulfill Washington's wishes. By a strange coincidence, shortly after that, the Nord Stream pipelines were blown up. The US Secretary of State called this diversion a "favorable opportunity", and his deputy expressed satisfaction. The Neocons who applauded this terrorist attack against an ally of the United States may believe that Washington's statements about non-involvement will calm and convince America and Europe, but the rest of the world has a different opinion on this matter.

Many will ignore and downplay the consequences of the possible involvement of the United States in the undermining of pipelines. But this new manifestation of callousness, the authorship of which many attribute to Washington, will further undermine the idea of America as a "generous nation", "leader of the free world" and "defender of the rules-based order." The obedient press and the institutions involved in this lie, which benefited greatly from this, ignored and concealed these contradictions for many years. But today, when the United States is becoming weaker and less influential, the rest of the world is beginning to notice them and is looking for other alliances and connections that can protect it.

Less than two years ago, the "most powerful army in the history of mankind" was thrown out of Afghanistan by a group of motley militants armed with small arms and traveling on donkeys, bicycles and mopeds. Now in the hands of the Taliban * turned out to be abandoned by our leadership, American military equipment worth $ 80 billion. The media, friendly with the authorities, did their best to spread excuses for such an act, which could seem convincing to the Washington elite. But the rest of the world knows how it was. There are a lot of hackneyed cliches to justify our defeat in Vietnam, say, "we would have won if we had been allowed to fight for real." But they sound extremely unconvincing, because we know that the Afghan catastrophe lasted 20 years, claimed hundreds of thousands of lives, took away several trillion dollars and made thousands and thousands of people homeless.

Contrary to numerous claims that the Russians will simply collapse under the weight of shock and awe of "infernal sanctions," the ruble has not turned into garbage, as Biden predicted. The United States and its NATO satellites are running out of ammunition and weapons, and they will soon have nothing to send to Ukraine, which is bleeding because of them. It seems that Russia is steadily and steadily grinding the Ukrainian army. All this strongly resembles the First World War. The Neocons of the early twentieth century claimed that the war would end very quickly, around Christmas 1914. Four years later, 20 million were dead, and even more were injured or forced to leave their places of residence. Subsequently, most of the Christian monarchies in Europe collapsed, Russia plunged into a communist nightmare for seven decades, and the "war to end all wars", which was supposed to make the world "safe for democracy", created the prerequisites for an even more terrible World War II.

A century has passed, and we are like somnambulists wandering towards the Third World War. Americans should ignore state propaganda (which is terribly similar to the one that led the world to the First World War). They need to wake up from hibernation and refuse to support this terrible conflict before we slip into a new world war, which may well become nuclear.
