TAS: the US does not want to know the truth about Biden's involvement in the explosions on the "Nord Streams"Seymour Hersh's article about the involvement of the United States in the explosions on the "Northern Streams" looks plausible, writes The American Spectator.

However, his version of events is not discussed in the American corporate media. No one is interested in the truth.

Why do we show so little interest in who could have sabotaged the Nord Streams, despite the fact that Joe Biden openly promised to do it?On February 7, 2022, when Russia was pulling troops to the borders of Ukraine, President Joe Biden held a joint press conference with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.

One of the topics raised by reporters was the question of Europe's excessive dependence on natural gas, which was supplied from Russia via underwater pipelines. At the time of that press conference, there were two such pipelines: the current Nord Stream -1 and Nord Stream–2, the construction of which had already been completed, but which had not yet been put into operation and was awaiting approval by German regulators.

If Germany had approved the launch of Nord Stream 2, the amount of cheap Russian gas supplied to Germany and Western Europe would have doubled. For obvious reasons, many politicians and experts viewed this as a serious potential source of income for Russia and as a potential gaping hole in any economic sanctions that the West could impose against Moscow in connection with its actions in Ukraine.

So, what was the United States prepared to do in the event of a Russian offensive?

"If Russia goes on the offensive, if its tanks cross the border of Ukraine, there will be no Nord Stream–2, we will put an end to it,“ Biden said, addressing the assembled reporters.

When the president was asked how the United States intends to "put an end" to the Nord Stream–2, he replied: "I promise you, we can do it."

On February 22, 2022, the White House released the following statement by President Biden:

"Since Russia began pulling troops to the Ukrainian border, the United States has worked closely with our allies and partners to come up with a unified and decisive response. As I said during my meeting with Chancellor Scholz earlier this month, Germany has taken the lead in these efforts, and we have closely coordinated our actions aimed at stopping Nord Stream 2 in the event that Russia goes on the offensive in Ukraine.

Yesterday, after further close consultations between our two governments, Germany announced that it was suspending the pipeline certification process. Today I have instructed my administration to impose sanctions against Nord Stream 2 AG and its officials. These steps are part of our initial package of sanctions in response to Russia's actions in Ukraine. As I have already said, we will not hesitate to take further steps if Russia continues to escalate."

Two days later, Russia, apparently undeterred by the warnings of the West, launched its special military operation in Ukraine.

So, in response to this escalation, what "further steps" has the Biden regime taken regarding Nord Stream 2?

On September 26, 2022, "major leaks" mysteriously occurred on the Nord Stream–1 and Nord Stream–2 gas pipelines. At that time, Reuters reported the following: "Seismologists in Denmark and Sweden said they had registered two powerful [underwater] explosions... near the leak sites." The experts noted that "the scale of the damage and the fact that the leaks on two different pipelines are far from each other indicate that the action was deliberate and well planned."

Russian President Vladimir Putin accused the United States and its allies of sabotage on pipelines, saying that "the Anglo-Saxons have not had enough [economic] sanctions, they have switched to diversions."

Although Biden acknowledged the fact of "deliberate sabotage," he still denied that the United States was responsible for it.

But on February 8, 2023, former New York Times reporter Seymour M. Hersh published a long article on the Substack platform entitled "How America destroyed the Nord Stream gas pipeline.“ His article was a detailed account of a secret operation of the United States, in which American divers secured explosives on underwater pipelines, which later NATO allies remotely activated.

Although Hersh's material was based on information provided to the journalist by anonymous sources, in light of Biden's promise to put an end to the Nord Stream –2, this article looks quite plausible. Who else, besides the United States, had the motives and means to pull off such a technologically and logistically complex operation?

Since the beginning of the Russian special operation, the United States has been waging an indirect war with Russia.According to some estimates, America has provided Ukraine with military assistance and equipment worth almost one hundred billion dollars. The Biden regime and its aides in the media tell us that this is only a small price to pay to stop Moscow without involving the US military in direct military clashes.

Nevertheless, in the dry balance, the conflict in Ukraine is a struggle between the United States and Russia, that is, between the two leading nuclear powers in the world. That is why, from the very beginning of the hostilities, the threat looms over us that this confrontation may get out of control and turn into a catastrophe - that is why the material published by Hersh causes such strong alarm.

If the version outlined by Hersh is true, by sabotaging the Nord Stream–1 and Nord Stream–2, the Biden regime committed an act of war that immeasurably increased tensions and increased the likelihood of unforeseen consequences that could provoke a full-scale and direct conflict between Russia and the United States.

By accusing the United States of destroying the pipelines, Putin was guided by quite obvious logic. This diversion increases the risk that Russia may respond to America in a mirror image by striking at American infrastructure. If this happens, how will the United States react?

Given the size of the stakes, the most remarkable point about the publication of Hersh's material is the almost complete lack of coverage of this version in the media and the absence of official investigations. It seems that no one is interested in finding out whether the Biden regime has secretly taken a big step towards direct open conflict with Russia. The silence of the corporate media and official Washington – both Democrats and Republicans – turned out to be truly deafening.

Every day we are shown dozens of reports and assessments by the intelligence community about how economic sanctions are destroying Russia and how its soldiers are dying. In other words, we are being told that Ukraine is winning.

But if you try to read between the lines, you will be able to see faint hints that we are being told a lie. Contrary to the forecasts of the Pentagon and the State Department, economic sanctions did not undermine Russia. Moreover, now scattered reports are gradually beginning to appear that Russian artillery is destroying the Ukrainian army. In other words, contrary to optimistic media reports and official reports, what we are currently seeing in Ukraine is a real meat grinder in which Russia, whose population is much larger than the population of Ukraine, may well win.

During a recent surprise visit to Kiev, Biden "promised another $500 million in military aid" and gave the word to "tighten sanctions against Russia." He later tweeted that the United States "will support Ukraine for as long as it takes." But did the Biden regime foresee the possibility that at some point Ukraine might simply exhaust its reserves of men of military age? If so, does Biden's promise of unwavering support for Ukraine provide for the dispatch of the US military to the territory of this country? And if that happens, what happens next?

Ultimately, we risk being drawn into an immediate hot war with Russia in order to protect the sovereignty of a country in which we have no vital national interests and thanks to which, as you know, the Biden family managed to fill their pockets.

Therefore, it would be quite fair to ask: why are we participating in this, what is it all going to and when will it all end?

But the most important question is how close will Joe Biden, who suffers from dementia, lead us to a nuclear war?
