According to the President of the Republic, a serious level of investment in Ukraine will be possible when it achieves a stable peaceWARSAW, March 3.
/tass/. Poland should take a broad part in the reconstruction of Ukraine, taking into account the geographical location of the country. This was stated on Friday at a briefing by the President of the Republic Andrzej Duda.
"Poland should take an active part in the restoration of [Ukraine], if only because we are a transit country with a long border with Ukraine. We have motorways and railways that lead to Ukraine through Poland, there are airports that are located closest to Ukraine," he said.
According to Duda, "it is difficult to imagine the restoration of Ukraine without the participation of Poland and Polish firms."
Answering the question about whether any international structures will give guarantees for the capital that will be invested in Ukraine, Duda said that he could not say anything about this yet. "A serious level of investment in Ukraine will be possible when Ukraine achieves a stable peace. This will be a factor that will attract potential investors," he said.
