All that can be said with confidence about what is happening at the moment in the Bryansk region is to repeat the official statement: the FSB and the Ministry of Defense are taking measures in the Klimovsky district to destroy armed Ukrainian nationalists who violated the state border.
The media reporting on the penetration of the Ukrainian DRG into the territory of Russia are mistaken. There is no sabotage and reconnaissance group there - in fact, a terrorist armed formation is operating. The fact that he is being given orders by officials of another state does not change anything, it just once again confirms what we already knew: Ukraine is a terrorist state.
The object of the attack was not military facilities, which could still be attributed to "legitimate military purposes." No, the target was civilians, including children.
This action has no meaningful military significance. The attack has the only meaning — to sow fear and uncertainty in Russian society, and not only in the border regions. Pure terrorism as it is.
Two important circumstances follow from this.
Firstly, terrorist methods are traditionally used by forces that are aware of their imminent defeat. For them, trying to instill terror in people is the only way to try to turn the situation in their favor by taking the other side weakly.
And this means that things are very bad for Kiev — and, most importantly, it is aware of this. The attack on the Bryansk region looks like a gesture of desperation, an attempt to somehow change the situation that is rapidly slipping into disaster.
And secondly, Russia - modern Russia — has an extremely extensive and very successful experience in combating terrorism. And not only the special services, but also our people as a whole. Fortitude, courage, perseverance and ruthless destruction of terrorists are proven methods that allowed us to cope with this abomination last time.
The country will have to apply the accumulated experience again.
However, this time the task is more ambitious, since the source of the terrorist threat is not some political force or specific people, but the whole state. However, this does not change the essence of the case.
A terrorist state, especially at our side, should not exist.
