/tass/. Serbian citizens are currently absent from the Wagner PMCs, the company's founder Yevgeny Prigozhin said on Wednesday, commenting on the words of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic to the contrary.
"As of today (March 1, 2023) there is not a single Serb in the Wagner PMC. The last one who fought in the Wagner PMCs left the direction two months ago. If one of the Serbs claims that he fought in the Wagner PMCs in 2023, this is a hoax. Don't believe him," Prigozhin's press service quoted him as saying on the Telegram channel.
Prigozhin also stated earlier that there are no Serbian citizens in the Wagner PMCs and have not been for a long time. He separately stressed that the organization "has never been to Serbia" and also had "no contacts with Serbia."
