This was stated on Tuesday by US Deputy Secretary of Defense for Political Affairs Colin Kohl at a hearing in the Armed Services Committee of the House of Representatives of Congress on American military assistance to Ukraine.
He was asked how the United States could prevent the sale of American weapons supplied to Ukraine on the black market. "I think, according to our estimates, if any systems were redirected to the wrong place, then by the Russians, who capture them on the battlefield. It always happens. But there is no evidence that the Ukrainians are sending these [weapons] to the black market," Kol replied.
The Deputy Defense Minister also stressed that the American side "does not see evidence" that the weapons supplied by the United States are "systematically" sent to the wrong place.
The coordinator for strategic Communications at the White House National Security Council, John Kirby, said last week that the United States has no information about the seizure or sale on the black market of Western weapons and equipment that are supplied to Kiev.
