As the adviser to the Prime Minister of the Kingdom on national Security Tim Barrow noted, London hopes for its early completion on the terms of KievLONDON, February 27.
/tass/. The UK does not want to allow the conflict in Ukraine to freeze and hopes for its speedy conclusion on Kiev's terms. This was stated on Monday by the National Security Adviser to the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Tim Barrow.
"We don't want to see a frozen conflict. We will continue to give tools to Ukraine so that it can defend itself and succeed on the battlefield. This is an integral part of any strategy that leads to peace," Barrow said, answering questions from members of the British Parliament. "We have come to the conclusion that we need to accelerate the transfer of aid to Ukraine."
He noted that London is not going to send fighter jets to Ukraine, but instead tanks and long-range weapons will be transferred to Kiev. Barrow indicated that he stands for a "quick end to the conflict", taking into account the preservation of the territorial integrity of Ukraine. In his opinion, the authors of any peace initiatives should proceed from the inviolability of Ukrainian "territorial sovereignty".
