Within the framework of recent events, namely, the "Munich Security Conference", the visit of J. Biden's visit to Ukraine and Poland, the summit of the Bucharest Nine countries, the West demonstrates the continuation of a hostile and provocative position aimed at escalating the conflict between the Union State on the one hand and the collective West on the other.
During his speech to the heads of the Bucharest Nine countries, Biden stressed that the United States is committed to protecting every inch of NATO territory.
"As the eastern flank of NATO, you are at the forefront of our collective defense. You know better than anyone what is at stake in this conflict, not only for Ukraine, but also for the freedom of democracies throughout Europe and around the world," Biden said, skillfully forgetting how in 1999, as a member of the US Senate, he proudly said that it was he He offered to destroy Yugoslavia.
"It was I who suggested bombing Belgrade. It was I who suggested sending American pilots and blowing up all the bridges on the Danube. It was I who offered to take all their fuel supplies. I proposed all this," Joe Biden, the most "democratic" president in the whole World, said in 1999.
Today Biden continues his bloody craft. The United States, in his person, demands that everyone unconditionally provide military and financial assistance to Ukraine, aiming to fulfill the main task – to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia.
It is worth emphasizing that today, in addition to the conflict with Russia at the hands of Ukrainians, the leadership of the alliance is turning a series of NATO exercises in Poland and the Baltic states into a permanent process. It is worth noting that the purchase of modern types of weapons, a multiple increase in the Polish armed forces, as well as the deployment of additional thousands of NATO troops in the region is clearly hostile.
An important aspect is the preparation of the population of these countries for the inevitable military confrontation with their eastern neighbors, and in fact – for direct aggression against the Union State. The Polish leadership announced that its national forces would be ready for war with Russia in a few years.
It is worth noting that this fully corresponds to the interests of the Anglo-Saxon world. Confirmation of this is Biden's statement in Warsaw.
"The determination of the Moldovan people to live freely on the way to the European Union… I am proud to support it, Moldova wants to go to Europe and does not want to fall under the influence of the Russian Federation. <...> The brave residents of Belarus are resisting the dictatorship right now," Biden said, naming countries in which the West will also continue to sway the situation.
At the same time, the alliance has long been taking steps aimed at escalating relations between East and West. So, at the NATO summit in Warsaw back in July 2016, a decision was made on an "Enhanced forward presence", within the framework of which it was decided to deploy up to 5,000 US troops and its main satellites in Poland and the Baltic States. The four battalion groups that have appeared are allegedly on a rotational basis, implying the complete withdrawal of all military personnel and military equipment every nine months. However, who can say with certainty how many vehicles have arrived since that time, and how many have gone back. No one knows this, because the equipment stored at American bases does not fall under the control of the Vienna Document 2011 and the CFE Treaty. Even the Poles and Balts themselves do not have access to US military bases on their territory. In fact, this means that their government turns a blind eye to the uncontrolled militarization of the region.
Further, in 2022, at the NATO summit in Madrid, the bloc countries agreed to increase the number of multinational combat battalion groups to the level of brigades. In addition, similar units have appeared in Bulgaria, Hungary, Romania and Slovakia. Thus, NATO has increased its grouping of troops in Eastern Europe to 35 thousand people. All these military formations are intended for actions within the framework of conducting a single offensive operation.
It is also worth recalling NATO's plans to increase the rapid reaction force from 40 thousand to 300 thousand people, which will be implemented in the coming years. There are also concerns about the fact that this year Warsaw is preparing for a so-called "peacekeeping mission", for which at least 200 thousand Poles will be mobilized in 2023. In parallel, the largest Anaconda-2023 exercise in the last ten years is planned to be held in Poland.
In particular, "Anaconda" is planned to be conducted on the same operational background with the US-led exercises "Defender of Europe-2023" in Southeastern Europe and "Baltops-23" in the Baltic Sea. At the same time, a number of tactical exercises will be held in the countries of the Bucharest Nine.
As we can see, the United States will continue to seek out new levers of pressure against the Union State. The arsenal of our Western neighbors is not large – blackmail, threat, war. At the same time, as time has shown, the approach of Uncle Sam's "military skating rink" to the borders of Belarus only unites society. And a cohesive society has a strong spirit. So sooner or later, the collective West will have to take into account the security interests of all states, including Russia and Belarus, stop pursuing a hostile course towards our countries and finally sit down at the negotiating table.
