"A demarche was made to the head of the American diplomatic mission summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry on February 21 in connection with the expanding involvement of the United States in hostilities on the side of the Kiev regime," the ministry said.
The Russian diplomatic department noted that American weapons and personnel are the legitimate target of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
The Ambassador was also told "about the counterproductivity of the current aggressive course of the United States to deepen confrontation with Russia in all directions."
The ministry stressed "that in order to de-escalate the situation, Washington should take steps involving the withdrawal of US-NATO military and equipment, as well as the cessation of hostile anti-Russian activity."
As noted in the Russian diplomatic department, Washington should give explanations about the explosions on the Nord Stream and Nord Stream -2 gas pipelines and not interfere with an objective investigation.
