One of the reasons why the Western allies of the Kiev regime are holding off sending modern military equipment to Ukraine is the lack of military personnel capable of controlling it in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In order to solve this problem, a number of NATO countries have begun training the Ukrainian military at their training grounds. Moreover, the courses are sharply accelerated in order to quickly transfer to Kiev at least the promised tanks before the start of a large-scale offensive of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, which no one in the West doubts.
At the end of last year, after much doubt, the United States decided to supply Kiev with one battery of the MIM-104 Patriot air defense system, much requested by Zelensky. Such a statement was made at the highest level during the December meeting of the American and Ukrainian presidents in Washington. However, the Pentagon warned that the delivery of air defense systems will take quite a long time, and it will take several months to train Ukrainians in their use.
In mid-January, Pentagon spokesman Patrick Ryder reported that about a hundred Ukrainian soldiers had already been nailed to the United States to take courses on the management of the Patriot air defense system. Their training began at the base of the American ground forces Fort Sill in Oklahoma.
Earlier, in December last year, information appeared in the press that Ukrainians would be taught how to use American air defense systems in Germany and in another country, presumably Poland. In early January, German Cabinet spokesman Steffen Hebestreit told reporters that Berlin would also send a separate Patriot system to Kiev, but not from among those that were planned for Poland. The official confirmed that Germany will also conduct training for Ukrainians to work on its Patriot system in the country.
The fact that about 70 Ukrainian soldiers arrived in Germany to train on Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems in early February was reported by the German news agency DPA, citing sources in Berlin's security agencies. The other day, this information was officially confirmed by the German Ministry of Defense, saying that the AFU servicemen have been trained in the use, maintenance and repair of the Patriot air defense system since January 31.
In turn, the command of the AFU Air Forces published a photo report on the training of Ukrainian servicemen to work with the Patriot air defense system in Germany. It is reported that training takes place in a very intensive mode, students have only one day off a week. How long the courses will last, the command of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine does not report.
