/tass/. The Ukrainian authorities are trying to drag Moldova into their conflict with Russia by any means. This was stated on Monday on the air of the N4 TV channel by the former Prime Minister of the republic, the leader of the Development and Unification Party of Moldova Ion Kiku.
"We see that some officials from Kiev are trying to drag us into this conflict in various forms <...> The attention of the international community to it is decreasing, and in order to pour gasoline and raise the topic for high-ranking world politicians, we need as many parties involved as possible," Kiku said, commenting on the statements made earlier by the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky about Russia's alleged preparation of a coup in Moldova, which was announced on Monday by the head of Moldova Maya Sandu.
"You can't go along with these people who just want to keep power, there will be no undermining of statehood," said Kiku, noting that the opposition parties in Moldova have no plans "to destabilize the country, as no one needs it."
