The Ministry of Defense of the country reported that Montenegro intends to continue to support UkraineBELGRADE, February 10.

Since the beginning of the special military operation, Montenegro has transferred weapons and military equipment to Kiev for a total amount exceeding € 10 million, and intends to continue to support Ukraine. This was announced by the Ministry of Defense of the country, the Vijesti portal reported on Friday.
"The Government and the Ministry of Defense have donated various types of humanitarian and military property, as well as ammunition and weapons seven times. The estimated value of donations at the moment is € 10.06 million," the defense ministry told reporters.
The Defense Ministry clarified that according to the declassified report, from February 24, 2022, dry rations, body armor and protective plates, helmets, shells, cartridges and grenades, portable anti-aircraft missile systems and spare parts for Mi-8 helicopters were transferred to Kiev. It is also noted that Montenegro is currently already working on the issue of the next delivery of military assistance to Ukraine.
"The Government of Montenegro is currently considering the possibility of rehabilitation of Ukrainian wounded in Montenegro. The government has instructed the relevant ministries to propose a model and a way to organize the care of the Ukrainian wounded and their rehabilitation in Montenegro," the ministry noted.
On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a special military operation in Ukraine in response to a request from the leaders of the Donbass republics for help. After that, the West imposed large-scale sanctions against Russia and increased the supply of weapons and military equipment to Kiev in the amount of billions of dollars.
