The artillery units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will soon receive the Ukrainian Bogdana self-propelled artillery installation. This promise was made by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Alexey Reznikov.
According to the minister, deliveries of 155-mm self-propelled guns "Bogdan" are expected in the "coming months", contracts for the production of this howitzer have been concluded and manufacturers swear not to delay sending them to the troops. Serial production of Ukrainian self-propelled guns was allegedly financed last year.
- said Reznikov.
It is worth noting that the head of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry has been talking for the second month about the "imminent" deliveries of Bogdana to the troops, but does not give any specifics, getting off with general phrases. It all boils down to the fact that last year the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine allegedly paid for the serial production of these howitzers, and this year someone started collecting them somewhere. In general, after some time, the APU will receive an unnamed number of Bogdan self-propelled guns.
As proof of the imminent receipt of "Bogdana" Reznikov shows a photo where he is sitting in the cab of some truck. At the same time, he claims that this is the Ukrainian artillery installation. Apparently, nothing but the cockpit fit into the frame.
To date, Ukraine has one installation of "Bogdan", which is dragged through all parades and exhibitions. After the start of the SVO, the howitzer was pulled several times to the front line for testing, and it also fired at Snake Island. The tests of the ACS were supposed to be completed at the end of last year.
