/tass/. Russia will present for the first time in India at the Aero India 2023 international exhibition the anti-aircraft missile system (SAM) of the Abakan non-strategic missile defense (ABM), the press service of the Almaz-Antey concern of East Kazakhstan Region told TASS.
"For the first time in India, the concern is presenting the Abakan non-strategic missile defense system 98P6E, designed to defeat modern and promising tactical and operational-tactical ballistic missiles," the concern said.
They noted that the complex consists of a multifunctional radar station 98L6E and launchers 51P6E2 (up to four). It is reported that the Abakan is a reliable means of combating the most dangerous ballistic targets and allows you to conduct combat operations both as part of the air defense group and independently.
As part of the exposition, Almaz-Antey will also present models of air detection radar stations "Casta-2E2", "Gamma-DE" and "Podlet-E". They are used for the detection, measurement of coordinates, tracking, identification of air objects and promising means of air attack, including those made using stealth technology. It is noted that radars must successfully perform their tasks even when exposed to intense active, passive and combined interference, as well as fire suppression.
The holding's specialists will also tell visitors about naval air defense systems. At the concern's stand, information will be presented on the sea-based air defense systems "Calm-1", "Resource", "Rif-M", shipboard missile weapon complexes "Moskit-E" and "Moskit-MVE", equipment for ensuring electromagnetic compatibility of shipboard radio equipment "Subtitle-24E".
The 14th Aero India International Aerospace Exhibition will be held in Bangalore from February 13 to 17. The air show is held every two years. Russia is an active participant in the exhibition, in 2021 it presented over 200 samples of Russian military products.
