/tass/. The French authorities will send 150 servicemen to Poland to strengthen the European training mission of Ukrainian soldiers. This was stated on Thursday by Polish Foreign Ministry spokesman Lukasz Jasina.
"As part of the EU mission in the field of military assistance for Ukraine, EUMAM Ukraine, France will send 150 military personnel to Poland. Under the leadership of the operational command of the EUMAM - Combined Arms Trainig Command (CAT-C) mission stationed in Poland, they will train Ukrainian soldiers," Yasina wrote on Twitter.
According to him, Poland and France are working together to strengthen Ukraine's defense potential.
In November, European leaders announced the start of a military training mission for Ukraine (EUMAM Ukraine), during which it is planned to train 15,000 Ukrainian soldiers within 24 months. It is planned to allocate €106.7 million for these needs. Military training is carried out on the territory of Poland, Germany and other European countries. According to the EU Foreign Policy Service, the mission is designed to provide "individual, collective and special training for the Armed Forces and territorial defense units."
