Ron Prosor named two reasons why Jerusalem takes a restrained position: the Russian presence in Syria and the large number of Jews who live in the Russian FederationBERLIN, January 28.
/tass/. Israel supports the Kiev authorities more than the public knows. This was stated by the Israeli ambassador to Germany Ron Prosor in an interview with the Funke editorial group published on Saturday.
"We are helping, albeit behind the scenes, but much more than is known," the ambassador claimed. He did not provide any significant details.
Prosor also cited two reasons why Israel is taking a restrained position: the Russian presence in Syria and the large number of Jews who live in Russia.
As the Politico newspaper reported on January 12, citing an unnamed Israeli official, the new Israeli government led by Benjamin Netanyahu will not change its policy towards Ukraine and will not provide military support to Kiev in order not to spoil relations with Russia.
