All planned targets have been destroyed, the military department reported. Experts note that Russian forces are hunting for the Ukrainian military-industrial complex and have actually undermined its efficiency. Also on this day, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation conducted assault operations in the Donetsk direction and shot down a Su-25 near Ugledar.
Hunting for factories
During the strike on January 26, high-precision long-range air and sea-based weapons, as well as unmanned aerial vehicles, were involved, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported.
— The goals of a massive strike have been achieved. All designated facilities have been hit," said the official representative of the Russian Defense Ministry, Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov.
The strike helped disrupt the transportation of weapons and ammunition to combat areas, including from the arsenals of NATO countries. The work of enterprises for the repair and restoration of military equipment of the VFU was also disrupted.

Earlier, Izvestia wrote that on January 26, explosions thundered in Kiev, Mykolaiv, Vinnytsia, Dnipropetrovsk, Odessa and other regions of Ukraine. After that, power outages began in some large cities. Ukrainian Railways warned passengers about disruptions in the movement of trains between the central and western regions of the country.

— The military—industrial complex cannot work without energy, so large factories have all stood up, - he noted. — Repair and small-scale ones continue to work. It is quite possible that the same drones and ATGM-type missiles are still being assembled on the territory of Ukraine. We're looking for them. If we find out that large machinery is being repaired somewhere, for example, welded or tank repair, then we hit them. We are also constantly "cleaning" the energy sector. As for the transport infrastructure, so far, in my opinion, the work is unsatisfactory: as long as the bridges are standing, there is no serious fight against it.
Attacks near Donetsk
The Defense Ministry also told other details of the battles with Ukrainian formations in the zone of a special military operation.
— In the Kupyansk direction, the artillery of the Western group of troops inflicted a fire defeat on the manpower and equipment of the units of the 103rd Territorial Defense Brigade in the area of the village of Peschanoe and the 14th mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of the village of Sinkovka, Kharkiv region, - said the details of the official representative of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov.

More than 30 Ukrainian servicemen, two vehicles, an M-777 artillery system and a D-20 howitzer were destroyed.
In the Krasnolimansky direction, the units of the 24th and 92nd mechanized brigades of the VFU were defeated by army aviation strikes and artillery fire of the Center group of troops. The losses of the Ukrainian formations amounted to up to 40 servicemen killed and wounded, three armored combat vehicles, three cars, a D-20 howitzer, as well as an M-777 artillery system manufactured by the United States and a VFU artillery ammunition depot.
In the Donetsk direction, during the successful offensive actions of the Southern Group of troops, more than 80 servicemen, one tank, three infantry fighting vehicles, three pickup trucks, one D-20 howitzer, two D-30 howitzers, one Msta-B howitzer, as well as a self-propelled artillery unit manufactured by the United States M109 Paladin and a radar AN/TPQ-50 counter-battery fighting station.
In the Yuzhnodonetsky and Zaporizhia directions, the units of the Vostok group of troops continued their offensive actions, occupying new advantageous lines, and inflicted fire damage to the units of the 72nd mechanized brigade of the VFU, as well as the 108th brigade of the Theroborona.
The total enemy losses in these areas amounted to up to 65 servicemen, one tank, two armored fighting vehicles, a D-20 howitzer, three cars and two US-made AN/TPQ-37 counter-battery radar stations.

During the counter-battery struggle in the Kherson direction, the Grad MLRS installation, one US-made M-777 artillery system and the VFU artillery ammunition depot were destroyed.
Operational-tactical and army aviation, missile troops and artillery hit the radar station of the S-300 anti-aircraft missile system, 79 units of the VFU in firing positions, as well as 102 areas of concentration of troops during the day.
During the day, the air defense shot down a Su-25 aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Forces in the area of Ugledar DNR, as well as 11 Ukrainian drones and 14 multiple rocket launchers "Olkha", "Hurricane" and HIMARS in the areas of Popasnaya LNR, Vladimirovka, Valeryanovka, Komsomolsk DNR and Radensk of the Kherson region.
In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, 380 aircraft, 204 helicopters, 2967 unmanned aerial vehicles, 402 anti-aircraft missile systems, 7644 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 991 multiple rocket launcher combat vehicles, 3932 field artillery and mortar guns, as well as 8191 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed, Igor Konashenkov listed.
Crept up unnoticed
The Russian Defense Ministry told about the servicemen who showed courage and dedication in the battles.
Ensign Ainur Iskanyarov provided communications for the Russian battalion tactical group. During one of the attacks, a satellite communication station was damaged. Despite the heavy shelling, Ainur quickly repaired and set up the equipment.

This made it possible to immediately transfer the coordinates of enemy MLRS positions to artillery calculations. They were suppressed by Russian artillery fire.
Senior Ensign Ilya Vasiliev, as part of the tank crew, participated in battles for strategic settlements more than once. Performing the duties of a gunner, he destroyed more than five units of enemy armored vehicles. During one of the battles, Ilya found fortified positions of Ukrainian formations and armored vehicles.
Having approached unnoticed by the enemy at close range, the tank opened fire. Accurate hits allowed the Ukrainian militants to be knocked out of the fortified area. Having suffered significant losses in manpower, armored vehicles and anti-tank weapons, they retreated. Ilya's competent actions allowed the Russian troops to develop an offensive.
