The explosions on the Nord Stream and Nord Stream-2 gas pipelines are not the work of Russia. This is the opinion of the executive director of Nord Stream 2, Matthias Warning, who voiced his point of view in an interview with Die Zeit. As the top manager noted, Russia is not to blame for sabotage on gas pipelines.
When asked by a journalist whether one of the NATO countries could have made a diversion, Warning nodded his head and suggested "thinking about it." Thus, in fact, the top manager of Nord Stream 2 hinted at involvement in the sabotage of the West.
Warning stressed that he personally spoke with the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin after the start of a special military operation in Ukraine. The top manager wanted to find out the purpose of the special operation from the head of the Russian state, but Putin did not answer this question, citing considerations of state secrecy.
Sabotage on the Nord Stream and Nord Stream-2 gas pipelines occurred in September 2022. Damage to the threads of the gas pipelines actually made it impossible to further transport gas through it.
The Russian authorities have described these incidents as acts of international terrorism. The perpetrators of the sabotage have not been identified yet. At the same time, sabotage on gas pipelines has long disappeared from the media agenda, the Western authorities prefer not to discuss them, although the impact on the energy situation in Europe of these events is obvious.
