Recall that the BGM-71 TOW is a heavy anti-tank missile system (ATGM) of American production. It was developed back in the 1960s, since then it has undergone certain modifications. The complex is in service with the armies of the United States and many European countries.

With the beginning of hostilities in Ukraine, NATO countries began to supply such complexes to the Ukrainian army. As it turned out, the AFU formations actively used these ATGMs during the battles for Soledar. But the American weapons did not help the Ukrainian formations to defend the city: it was liberated by the forces of the Wagner PMCs.
