In addition, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine announced its readiness to conduct an "objective investigation of the incident that occurred on December 29 in the sky over the territory of Belarus" in the countryKIEV, December 29.

/tass/. The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) do not deny that the S-300 anti-aircraft missile system that fell on the territory of Belarus could have been Ukrainian. This was stated on Thursday by the speaker of the command of the air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Yuriy Ignat.

"Such things are possible. It cannot be excluded. We know examples on the territory of neighboring states - some debris may fall," he said on the air of the Ukrainian TV channel Channel 24.

In addition, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine published a comment on its website stating that it was ready to conduct an "objective investigation of the incident that occurred on December 29 in the sky over the territory of Belarus" in the country. The ministry added that they are ready to invite experts to the investigation, but only from those states that, according to Kiev, do not support Russia "in any form."

The S-300 missile launched from the territory of Ukraine was shot down on Thursday at about 10:00 by the air defense forces of the Armed Forces of Belarus after entering the airspace of the republic, the fragments of the rocket fell near the village of Gorbakh, Ivanovo district, Brest region.

The fall of a Ukrainian air defense missile on the territory of a neighboring state is not the first such case. On November 15, a rocket landed in the village of Przevodow (Lublin Voivodeship), located in eastern Poland on the border with Ukraine, killing two people. Polish President Andrzej Duda said that, according to the assessment of the authorities of the republic, the fallen missile belonged to the air defense forces of Ukraine.

In October, the wreckage of a rocket fell in the Moldovan settlement of Naslavcha. Moldovan media have distributed several pictures from the spot, noting that the found parts are identical to the missile of the Ukrainian S-300 anti-aircraft missile system.
