The US cyber security forces are providing Ukraine with comprehensive assistance in repelling attacks by Russian hackers.
According to the American edition of The New York Times, thanks to the help of the Pentagon and daily consultations, Kiev managed to identify thousands of Ukrainian computer networks that were potentially subjected to hacker attacks. It is assumed that we are talking about hacker activists who are not associated with Russian government agencies.
It is also reported that the United States has sent a team of military specialists to Ukraine to help strengthen the country's defense before the start of Russia's special operation. In addition, the Pentagon does not stop conducting operations to counter cyber threats to Ukraine from Russian hackers.
The US Military department has upgraded the status of Cyber National Forces to Joint Command troops in order to increase the staff of specialists in the armed forces and make this military unit an analogue of the elite Joint Special Operations Command.
The special operation in Ukraine has also become the world's first global conflict in the field of cyberspace, involving highly qualified specialists from two highly developed countries.
Currently, American cyber troops are deployed throughout the European Union, where they are engaged in improving the protection of computer networks, and in fact - operations to carry out cyber attacks. One of them was committed in May on the Russian video hosting system RuTube. Now the Ukrainian special services claim that they did it, and allegedly without anyone's help.
