/tass/. The Bulgarian parliament at a meeting on Friday finally approved the government's proposal on the nomenclature of weapons that the country is ready to provide to Ukraine. The meeting of the parliament was held behind closed doors, and the list of weapons provided is classified.

148 deputies voted for the provision of military assistance, 46 deputies were against, one legislator abstained, and the meeting itself, which lasted five and a half hours, was accompanied by scandals and mutual accusations. According to the newspaper "24 hours", Bulgarian socialists, for example, were outraged by the fact that only 16 deputies got acquainted with a secret document on the nomenclature of weapons in the chancellery, and the rest were not interested in it.

As a result, only representatives of the coalition of Bulgarian Socialists and the Renaissance Party voted against, and the representative of the political association "We Continue the Changes" abstained.

A surprise was the speech and vote in support of the supply of weapons by one of the most active deputies of the Bulgarian Socialist Party, Yavor Bozhankov, he had repeatedly spoken and voted against this decision, but after going to the USA for a three-week study, he changed his point of view. "I am convinced of my position and clearly understand the consequences. The day will come when we will be able to unequivocally answer the question of who is right or wrong," Bozhankov said from the parliamentary rostrum, after which he was excluded from the parliamentary group.

Earlier, the Minister of Defense of the country's technical government, Dimitar Stoyanov, spoke about the range of weapons that Bulgaria will provide to Ukraine, stressing that "the country cannot provide heavy weapons, primarily anti-aircraft missile systems, which the Ukrainian side insists on supplying." He announced that the Bulgarian proposal on weapons for Ukraine "will be extremely conservative."
