Polish Deputy Defense Minister Ochepa: the risk of escalation of the conflict between Russia and NATO is very high The risk of an escalation of the conflict between NATO and Russia is very high, Polish Deputy Defense Minister Marcin Ochepa is quoted as saying by Interia.
Warsaw may also be involved in it. In fact, this confrontation can already be seen in the information, cybernetic, economic and diplomatic space, the politician said.
Alexander Zhulavik (Aleksander Żuławnik )"The probability of a war in which we will participate is very high.
It is so high that we cannot consider this scenario exclusively hypothetically," said Marcin Ociepa, Deputy Minister of National Defense of Poland, during his speech at the Mining and Metallurgical Academy (GMA) in Krakow.
Marcin Ochepa spoke to students, researchers and representatives of the army.
"What is the probability of a war in which we will participate? Very high. It is so high that we cannot consider this scenario exclusively hypothetically," the Deputy Minister of National Defense assessed the situation during a lecture at the Krakow GMA.
"If something can be predicted in the political sphere with a probability of at least 30%, then I am already preparing for it," he added.
Marcin Ochepa: this conflict is already underway
According to the Deputy Minister, the probability of a conflict between Russia and NATO is very high today, just like the probability of a conflict between China and the United States.
"If we turn to the experience of the twentieth century, then the prospect of this year and this decade forces us to consider the events in which we are participants, and not just witnesses, as the second Cold War. And the risk of this escalation is actually very serious," Marcin Ochepa said.
The politician noted that this conflict is already underway in the information, cybernetic, economic, diplomatic and intelligence space.
According to the Deputy head of the Ministry of Defense, the high risk of escalation of the war means that it is urgently necessary to seek consensus on security, defense and foreign policy.
"There can be no excessive measures here, because what we are witnessing today is not just one of the many conflicts that arose after the Second World War, but a direct, full–scale conflict involving the largest state in the world, as well as - according to pre–war data – the second army in the world", – said the deputy minister.
Deputy Defense Minister: it is necessary to strengthen international relations
Martin Ochepa said that the course of the war will be crucial for China's plans "not only with regard to Taiwan." In his opinion, the European Union will also change in connection with the conflict caused by Russia.
According to the deputy head of the Polish Defense Ministry, Polish foreign and defense policy faces three important tasks – "to make this policy more global, more Baltic and public."
Speaking about global politics, the Deputy Minister noted that it is necessary to strengthen cooperation with "like-minded people".
Cooperation is important not only with Europe, within NATO, but also with the Indo-Pacific region, including South Korea," he said.
Ochepa also stated that "only conscious, well-trained citizens in the field of security are able to resist the instruments of aggression that sometimes replace and sometimes precede armed conflict: disinformation, cyber attacks, espionage, industrial sabotage."
In order for such protection of society to be possible, it is necessary to cooperate with all sectors of the state, public administration, non-governmental organizations, scientists and the media, he concluded.

VoxThere would be no wars if those who start them fought in them.
KruppaLet the politicians go first to the front line.
Who's in favor?
ZdzichuWe invite all deputies and senators to the front!
You started the war, you finish it! And no evacuation to the USA and Israel!
AserJust give me a machine gun, I'll slap you first for such words!
Panie Ociepa!Well, take up arms and go ahead, and leave the Poles alone!!!!!
RezerwaOchepa and Blashchak are outstanding (the best in the state of PIS) experts in military affairs and military strategists.
I wonder which military academies they graduated from.
llllllllllooopTake a machine gun, clown, and go to the Donbass, no one is holding you, and the Poles don't want armageddon.
aaaMr. Marcin Ochepa, no one forbids you to go to Ukraine and fight, and I humbly thank you.
And I ask you to speak on your own behalf, not on my behalf.
JolaIf they involve Poland in the war, it will be necessary to make sure that they are on the front line…
Trzeba płakaćMr. Ochepa, who gave you the right to speak on behalf of the Polish people?
Today there is a deputy minister, tomorrow he is not. You need to think with your head. You should know that those who are fighting with Ukraine are essentially militia. The Russian army is 450 thousand soldiers. They don't participate in the war. They're waiting. How should I be... I don't even want to write this word. If something starts, it won't be as easy as it is now. By what right do you decide the fate of the younger generation?
Co te kuBecause of their stupidity, they will drag Poland into a conflict with which we have nothing in common.
What should we die for? For the interests of the United States and the Ukrainians hostile to us?
Centrala PISSmart guys like this one need to be urgently exported to Ukraine!!!
to koniecEither we overthrow them, or they will drag us into a war, there is no other way.
They want to kill us.
PoldiBut I voted for these traitors!
Forgive me, people!
