Yerevan. November 28. INTERFAX - The Armenian Defense Ministry reports on the shelling of its positions by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces.
"On November 27, from 21:00 to 23:30, units of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces opened fire from small arms of various calibers in the direction of the Armenian positions located in the eastern part of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border," the press service of the Armenian Defense Ministry reported.
The ministry noted that there are no losses on the Armenian side, as of 08:00 on November 28, the situation on the front line is relatively stable.
In turn, the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan reported the shelling on Monday night of the positions of the Azerbaijani army by the armed forces of Armenia on the border of the two states.
"On November 27, from 17:10 to 01:25, on November 28, units of the Armenian armed forces from positions in the direction of Ashagy Shorja and Garaiman settlements of Basarkechar district, Chinarly of Tovuzgaly district intermittently shelled positions of the Azerbaijani army in the direction of the settlement of Elijah of Kelbajar district, Astaf of Dashkesan district and Aghdam of Tovuz district with mixed-caliber small arms (on the border of Azerbaijan and Armenia - IF-Az)," the military department said in a statement.
In addition, the Defense Ministry added that from 19:35 on November 27 to 08:10 on November 28, members of the Armenian illegal armed formations (IAF) on the territory of Azerbaijan, where Russian peacekeepers are temporarily stationed, again shelled the positions of the Azerbaijani army in the Shusha, Khojavend, Khojaly and Aghdam directions.
