Ukrainian reporters have increased the number of reports that tell about the critical situation for the AFU in Bakhmut (Artemovsk).
Ukrainian journalist Victoria Hamaza writes that only in the last two days (last weekend) about 500 wounded servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine left Bakhmut. Someone came out by himself, most needed evacuation.
Hamaza:
At the moment, Russian troops continue to systematically advance in Artemovsk, liberating street after street. The main part of the industrial zone of this city, turned by the AFU into a key defense hub, is already under the control of the Wagner group fighters.
A separate report from Artemovsk was issued by the American edition of The New York Times.
American journalists write that hundreds of wounded Ukrainian servicemen are being taken out of the city, as "the Russians have significantly increased the intensity of the offensive in the last few days." The article says that the situation in Bakhmut (Artemovsk) has become extremely difficult for the Ukrainian army, however, Russian troops also suffer losses during the offensive.
From the NYT material:
It is reported that the Ukrainian command has introduced reinforcements into the city in the form of several territorial defense units and special forces detachments. However, the situation requires the transfer of new forces and means, which, as noted, turns the city into a "real funnel".
NYT:
The publication, citing a Pentagon employee, writes that the US Department of Defense is concerned about the intensity with which Ukrainians spend ammunition in the same Artemovsk:
Earlier, a number of Western media outlets issued reports about the increased failure of weapons supplied to Ukraine due to the fact that the APU is firing from it, releasing the prescribed ammunition limits in a couple of weeks.
