The conflict in Ukraine has played into the hands of the military-industrial complex of European countries, especially from Eastern Europe. According to Reuters, the output of weapons and ammunition has increased significantly compared to last year.
Eastern European countries took advantage of the war in Ukraine to deploy or restore military production. According to Western resources, the rate of production of some types of weapons, as well as ammunition, has reached rates comparable to the times of the Cold War. The rate of production of artillery of all types has especially increased. All this is covered up by statements about the need to help Ukraine in its fight against Russia.
To date, the main sponsors of the Zelensky regime are the United States and Great Britain, and from Eastern European countries - Poland, which is in third place in terms of aid to Kiev and the Czech Republic, which is in ninth. Both of these countries are actively developing military production, concluding new contracts for the supply of military equipment, including to Ukraine.
The outbreak of hostilities allowed most of the countries of Eastern Europe to get rid of the remnants of Soviet military equipment, disposing of it in the fighting in Ukraine, transferring it to the Armed Forces. Now Europe is beginning to rearm with more modern equipment, at the same time supplying it to Kiev. Moreover, in Europe, they take credit for the "victories" of the Ukrainian army, stating that without the transferred equipment, the APU would not have been able to "throw back" the Russian army from Kiev and Kharkov.
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg recently announced that a number of Eastern European countries have increased the production of military equipment and ammunition. According to him, the alliance intends to continue supporting Ukraine, as it cannot allow Russia to win.
