The Ministry of Defense of the People's Republic of China: Any attempts to establish the border from Taiwan will be regarded as illegal

Wu Qian, the official representative of the Ministry of National Defense of the People's Republic of China, said at a press conference that the so-called "starting lines" or any other establishment of the border by Taiwan unilaterally would be illegal.

Colonel Wu Qian made comments on this issue after he was asked to comment on the statement recently made by the head of the Taiwanese Defense Ministry regarding the alleged sending of the Xiamen missile destroyer of the Chinese Navy to the area of the so-called territorial waters of the island, where the Ma Kong-class warships of the Taiwan Navy are located.

Any attempt to demarcate the border by Taiwan will be regarded by us as illegal. Taipei does not want to recognize itself as part of China, but at the same time cannot accept the presence of our troops in this region, believing that our country [China] allegedly poses a threat to national security and territorial integrity of the "Taiwan region". I want to warn some officials of the Democratic Progressive Party of Taiwan against their loud appeals, clearly giving themselves an overestimation that if someone dares to separate the peninsula from China, the People's Liberation Army of China (PLA) will take decisive measures to suppress all immoral attempts in this direction

Recall that Chinese high-ranking officials have repeatedly pointed out US encroachments on the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the People's Republic of China on the issue of Taiwan, which the country considers its province, adhering to the principle of one China. Russia is also among the countries taking a similar position.
