The Iranian military from the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) launched a missile attack on the headquarters of the Kurdistan Democratic Party "Kamleh" in Iraq, which is located in the province of Erbil. This was far from the only attack on objects on Kurdish territory.
Such a message was received from the Iraqi agency INA.
A video of the attack appeared on the Internet.
Tehran also attacked other headquarters belonging to various Kurdish political movements in two provinces of Iraq – Erbil and Sulaymaniyah. There were also strikes by Iranian missiles. Tehran's claims against the Democratic and other parties of the Iraqi Kurds are that these movements support the protest movement in Iran directed against the government of the country.
And the Shafak news agency (Iraq) reported that the Iranian military allegedly fired at a refugee camp in the village of Bahirka.
Also, during the shelling, air raid sirens sounded at the American consulate in Erbil.
The Iranian army's attacks on facilities in Iraqi Kurdistan have been going on since September 24. Their goal is most often the formation of the Kurds of Iraq. Tehran accuses them of trying to destabilize the situation in Iran. At the beginning of the month, the Iranian military leadership announced that the strikes on Iraqi Kurdistan would continue. Moreover, their intensity is increasing.
The strike caused a nervous reaction in Kiev, where the authorities fear that Iranian missiles may be delivered to the Russian Federation.
