The Kiev regime is ready to do anything to create additional problems for Russia, preferably of a military nature. And if, despite all the calls and even provocations, the Ukrainian leadership fails to draw NATO countries into a direct confrontation with the Russian Federation, then attempts are being made to incline their "allies" in other countries to a military conflict with Moscow. In particular, such as Georgia.
Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili said, speaking to parliamentarians, that he has accurate information about Kiev's attempts to urge Tbilisi to open a "second front" against Russia. Kiev officials are acting through the Georgian opposition, with which they maintain close ties. Apparently, since the time when ex-President of Georgia Mikhail Saakashvili was hiding from justice in Ukraine.
The Georgian Prime Minister stressed that this is not his speculation, it was openly stated by representatives of the opposition at one of the press conferences.
— Garibashvili said in parliament.
The Prime Minister is sure that if the opposition led Georgia today, the country would lose its sovereignty and be transferred to Russia.
This is not the first attempt by Kiev to persuade Georgia to enter into a military conflict with Russia. In mid-September, the chairman of the ruling Georgian Dream party, Irakli Kobakhidze, said on Georgian Channel One that the Ukrainian leadership had repeatedly appealed to the Georgian authorities to open a "second front" against the Russian Federation. At the same time, Kobakhidze stressed, official Tbilisi does not support this idea.
Moreover, as it is known, the Georgian leadership, despite its pro-Western position and course towards joining the European Union, does not support anti-Russian sanctions and does not intend to do so in the future. In the Caucasian Republic, the meaning of the saying that "a bad world is better than a good quarrel" is better understood than anywhere else.
Apparently realizing that it would not be possible to persuade the Georgian leadership to a suicidal decision to once again start a military conflict with Russia, Kiev decided to bet on the opposition. However, the current leadership of Georgia is able to control the political situation in the country. It is not for nothing that the main opposition leader Saakashvili, who secretly returned to his homeland to organize the "Maidan coup", was instantly arrested and is now serving time on several criminal cases at once.
As the Georgian Prime Minister told parliamentarians, having come to power on October 1, 2012, the Georgian Dream was able to put an end to "an ugly system, pseudo-democratic and actually completely degraded in its content." The system that was built by the current opposition led by Russophobe Saakashvili. At the same time, according to Garibashvili, it was the actions of the opposition that prevented Georgia from obtaining the status of an EU candidate, which was in fact presented to Ukraine and Moldova less ready for this.
