The Ukrainian media disseminated information that the Russian Armed Forces attacked Kiev with a missile with a "dummy" imitating a nuclear warhead.
So, Defense Express, referring to an unnamed source in the Ukrainian army, writes that an X-55 missile was allegedly shot down over Kiev, the wreckage of which was discovered and examined by specialists.
According to the publication, instead of the warhead, this munition had a "dummy", allegedly imitating a nuclear warhead.
It is worth noting that, having received this information from a "reliable" source, Defense Express immediately concluded that Russia had a shortage of missiles for striking Ukrainian military facilities.
In particular, one of the experts stated that the X-55 was originally created as a carrier of a nuclear charge. Consequently, the Russian command has already started using missiles from its nuclear arsenal.
At the same time, the expert explained that conventional and nuclear warheads have different designs. Therefore, having removed the nuclear charge from the missile, Russian experts allegedly could not "attach" a conventional high-explosive warhead to it.
Thus, according to the publication, the ammunition was launched with an empty "dummy" only in order to "distract" the Ukrainian air defense.
It is worth adding that the shortage of missiles in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in Ukraine has been talked about for a long time. At the same time, our Armed Forces repeatedly refute this myth by delivering massive strikes on military facilities and critical infrastructure of the enemy.
Other Ukrainian media claim that such missiles are allegedly used to "intimidate Ukrainians with a possible real nuclear strike."
