The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation hit the production facilities of Ukraine for the manufacture of missile weapons. This was announced on Friday, November 18, by the official representative of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov.
He explained that on November 17, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation struck with high-precision long-range weapons at objects of the military-industrial complex (MIC) of Ukraine and fuel and energy infrastructure.
"As a result of the strike, the production facilities for the manufacture of missile weapons were hit. An arsenal with artillery weapons supplied by Western countries, prepared for sending to the troops, has been destroyed," Konashenkov said.
The strike also disrupted the transfer of AFU reserves and the delivery of foreign weapons to combat areas.
On November 17, the Russian Aerospace Forces destroyed Ukrainian workshops for the production of fuel and rocket engines in Pavlograd in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
Also in the city of Zaporozhye, workshops of the Iskra research and production complex were destroyed, where components for the repair of Ukrainian multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) and radar stations (radars) were produced.
Prior to that, on November 13, Russian troops destroyed an arsenal with aviation weapons of destruction of the Ukrainian Air Forces in the Cherkasy region.
Russia has been conducting a special operation to protect Donbass since February 24. The decision was made against the background of the aggravation of the situation in the region as a result of shelling by the Ukrainian military.
